Concierge 101 - Integrator Offers ISC West Show Guidance/Help

I came across this blog post from a Security 101 integrator, offering their services as show concierge to their customers and non-customers alike.

Personally, I like the concept - but I'm curious if people would actually want/use something like this.

I've heard that other integrators sometimes do this for their customers (or those they are eyeballing to become customers) at big shows, but I had never seen an integrator publicize this service before.

What do you think - good idea or not?

This is pretty common among integrators and manufacturers reps.

The basic idea is to create a captive audience under the idea of providing a value added service.

End users are pitched on the concept of being shown the most interesting/advanced/best companies on the show floor.

For the integrator or rep, every minute you have with someone under your influence with something like this is time they can't spend with your competitors.

That is exactly why I think some people might not want to have a concierge.

Especially one that is thinking along the lines of what you mentioned above.
