Our company is growing. I’ve completed three acquisitions in the last 13 months. For the last ten years or so, I’ve been the only salesman. Six months ago, in the previous acquisition, I moved one of the technicians to a salesman (he’s done very well). Back in October, I hired another person to clean out our storeroom, and he ended up selling for us and has also done very well. For the last few months, we’ve had a fast and loose commission structure. Both of these guys have done exceptionally well, and I want to pay them what they’re worth, but I could use some input.
One is looking for a base pay of $32k, and the other is looking for $45k. Both of these are young guys just getting started. They still need a lot of my help to get going and help from other people in the company. I think this pay is reasonable.
