Difference Between CMOS Sensors

What is the diference between "CMOS sensor ", "2 Megapixel CMOS Sensor"and "progressive Scan CMOS"? All the cameras has F1.4 to 2.0, is this relevant?

Good question.

Pretty much all sensors used in IP cameras today are progressive, compared to interlace (i.e., analog - 60 fields make 30 frames, etc.).

F number has nothing to do with the sensor. The F number is a property of the lens. Since most cameras are sold with lenses, they are listed together but are functionally separate.

Ok got it; what camera you recommended between progressive and 2 Megapixel? and which are the advantages of each one?

Progressive is how the image is scanned. You can have progressive 1.3MP, 2MP, 5MP, etc.

They are not mutually exclusive.

Pretty much every IP camera today is progressive and CMOS so you need to make your decision on other factors.
