Need A Monitor But Only Have Cat5 At The Location - No Power

I have a small job where I need to install a new small screen/monitor to be on at all times to view the cameras. The catch is that there is no power available, only 2 cat5 cables which means this needs to serve for power and video at the same time. Anyone have experience or recommendations of which screen can work well for this? This is going in the kitchen of the CEO for my biggest client. Move of a personal job and need to figure something out.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

More mainstream option/brand:

If you need HDMI or VGA the 2nd cable can carry that via adapter.

Do you think the monitor can play network streams from the ethernet jack?

Does mouse and keyboard need to be sent as well?

Use one cat5 for poe power and the other Cat5 for video and control (IR) using an HDMI over cat5 converter.

So basically extend the local console of the NVR to the kitchen?

The Aimetis A10D should fit your needs: http://www.aimetis.com/ThinClient/ . The product is available through distribution (accutech, Anixter, CSC).

Possible you are able to use wifi to stream your video(VMS Client)? If so use an Ipad or Surface Pro powered over the cat5 using a PoE Splitter/converter. Does this Ceo happen to have a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator? What about a projector?

Good Luck!

Or use a ethernet dongle to the device (after the splitter) if no wifi.

Use an IP intercom that will work over POE.
