Cause Of Mass Shootings

I see the post positioning different solutions to preventing Mass Shootings do we use Weapon Detection technology, do we harden a site, do we arm the teachers and students? Even the experts and those of us who have been in the physical security industry for decades can't agree. I think we are chasing falsehoods when we blame mental illness on Mass Shooters or our inability to deploy the newest technology as in "if we only had the latest technology to prevent this event".

As far as blaming mental illness I can understand why we would think that, because who in their right mind would take the life of innocent people, children for crying out loud! Take a look at the conflict in Ukraine, the Russian soldiers who are committing atrocities against unarmed civilians, because the Russian government recruits "crazy people", no of course not. Atrocities are carried out because the person doing the killing has been taught to "hate" the people they are killing.
