Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes an access card reader with an integrated IP camera? All I can find is Geovision in my searching. Link: http://www.geovision.com.tw/product/GV-CR420 However, this reader seems proprietary to their access control system, I need something that would work with a variety of ACS platforms. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Card Reader With Integrated Camera?
HIKvision had something. I would have thought mutations of an AIphone would do it. Camera will likely be analog. You'll need an encoder on the back side to get it to IP. Products aimed at apartment buildings and the ring-the-buzzer-resident-views-camera kind of thing. I thought some of those had embedded reader modules.
I have never seen a card reader with a camera before but I looked at the documentation and it does have a output for most access control systems.
Can you tell more about the application? First stab would say use a IP Intercom w/Integrated IP Camera and Card Reader of choice, many of the IP Intercom Manufacturers have OEM readers that can be installed as well.
I looked at the Aiphone and 2N offerings. The customer doesn't require intercom functionality, they're simply asking for a card reader with a built-in IP (not analog) camera to record facial images of persons as they are using their cards.
Only other option I've found is StoneLock, but that's more facial recognition analytics.
