Can Anyone Tell Me What This Is?

I came across it while replacing a camera in the ceiling. The power is AC to this camera and had these "coils" connected. It's about the 3rd one I've found so far out of about 12. And why AC? I believe the camera is Samsung. Also, says "ACE" on the side.

That looks like a ferrite bead, which is essentially a magnet that works like a filter on the line to clean up potential EMI noise from the AC source.

The camera itself is sensitive to this type of interference, so that cheap filter potentially prevents low-level video quality issues.

Those are there to ensure that you have to drill a larger hole to pass the whip through.
