I sent a crash report off to Axis to help ID some issues with a camera...no big deal. But first, I downloaded the server report and after looking at the gobbledygoop I promptly closed it, having not understood anything I was looking at. I've looked at these reports before while poking around in cameras and have always had the same reaction. So, here are my questions.

What's the difference between a server report and a crash report? Is the server report simply a report on the server and the crash report a report of what went wrong?

Also, are there key words, phrases, info, etc., in a crash report that can be useful for an end user troubleshooting? Perhaps a way to decipher common info for the layman? I'm not looking to get in-depth; in the end, all I want is the ability to identify an obvious solution if one exists.

Any help or resources to help would be appreciated.
