I'm in the market for a wire/pipe locator to help locate non-utility in-ground obstacles when doing ground work. We recently had a job where we hit no less than 12 electrical conduits and irrigation lines while trenching around a tennis court, resulting in almost a day in repairs for 2 techs. I realize I could have purchased a unit and spent several hours locating for less, and it's rare that we ever dig a trench without similar results, even when digging by hand. We typically dig in areas with lots of roots and rocks, so careful digging isn't really an option. Any recommendations? I looked a couple of Greenlee products but am leaning toward the NaviTrack II at the moment. Thanks!
