Bosch BVMS No Longer Providing 1yr SMA For New Software Sales. No SMA No Support.

Dear Valued Customer:At Bosch, we are committed to total customer satisfaction through products,service and support. In order to maintain high levels of service and support,we regularly review and update our offerings in this area. As a result, we areintroducing a change to our Software Maintenance Agreements (SMA) for theBosch Video Management System (BVMS), Access Management System,Building Integration System, and the soon-to-be launched Intelligent Insights.While we have previously included a free one-year SMA with the purchase ofBosch software offerings, it has not been required for customers to renew theSMA. This has resulted in customers running systems without the latestupdates that prevent critical issues from occurring and a significant increase inBosch technical resources to support these systems. To prevent this movingforward, Bosch will no longer provide the free one-year SMA.Beginning August 3, 2020, we will offer two options for Software MaintenanceAgreements – Assurance GO and Assurance PRO. Assurance GO isautomatically included without additional costs. It offers access to training,Knowledge Base articles, and hotfixes. Assurance PRO is designed toimprove your customers' satisfaction by keeping them current on the latestreleases and updates to ensure optimal performance and continuous uptime.The annual fee for Assurance PRO has been reduced from 18% of thesoftware license fee to 12% of the software license fee.Details on the two SMA offerings are below.
