I see traditional security trailers in parking lots (ie Walmart) where there is a flashing blue light every N seconds 24x7. They also have sirens, two-way audio, etc. I'm wondering if there is any common behaviors across the industry for lights/sirens? Should it blink 24x7 to warn that something is active and watching? Should I flash red/blue when an active alert is underway? Should the siren go constantly until someone intervenes or maybe stop after 60 seconds? Are there standard colors and timeouts that everyone adheres to? I'm specifically looking at the Axis D4100-E and am working through what I want its standby/active/alert behaviors to look/sound like.
