In yet another WTF decision, Axis is discontinuing their 5U mass encoder product - a product in which they are the only mfr. of that type. But they are keeping their 1U encoders (up to 16 channels) which is something that is made by numerous competitors. Applications with 16-32 analog channels are the easiest to convert to full IP, but they are keeping that encoding product - and applications with many hundreds of analog channels like Campuses, Casinos, and other large platforms, they are dropping one of their best solutions.
Can anyone explain why in the world they would be doing that? Cause the Swedes are not exactly the best communicators, and between not being able to get any of their product, then key product discontinuations, and then new price hikes across the board, Im pretty sure they are in the middle of what I call a "Full Frontal Nudity Pelco".
