We ended up with a small surplus of Axis lenses in various focal lengths. Any idea if these might be useful in other brands?

Generally, today, lenses are built in so not that much opportunity to re-use.

Jun 16, 2018It’ll be some trial and error, even assuming you have other camera bodies that are mechanically compatible with them, but I wouldn’t toss them.
Besides the focal length, the image circle that the lens projects must be bigger than the rectangle of the imager, or you will see the circle itself*.
Also, even if everything else seems ok, the lens may not have been designed for a higher resolution imager, leading to a loss of sharpness. This is mostly a subjective issue.
*seeing the circle is normal for 360 degree lenses, however.
