Axis Cameras Best Practices?

So I am switching out a ton of old Arecont cameras with Axis cameras. I am trying to fine tune them to get as much benefit out of them as possible. Do you recommend turning up zipstream to medium or high? What Caveats come with increasing this? A lot of them are outdoor 180s. A bunch are on playgrounds with parts of the scene being far away.
