The OUI of AvertX devices is 00:D0:89
So Dynacolor, Inc out of Taiwan is the manufacturer.
(notice the prominent Onvif logo right on their main page)
Only vaguely. It appears to be a consumer / bix box brand like Q-See or Swann or Lorex.
I just installed an Avertx 16 ch system for a friend. He went out and purchased from Costco and couldn't get it to work and asked if I would get him on track.
First off the camera and NVR have features that make them sound like they can actually compete with the bigger brands. And the system did come up and work.
The only recording compression option is H.264 and the cameras record in Mjpeg - the picture quality on a scale of 1-10 is about a 5.
The cameras that came with the kit are 4mp 2.8-12mm varifocal cameras. As for setup and configuration features, they are all pretty dumbed down making the system ok for a Costco buyer.
If given the option, I would pass on these guys.
