In order to bring ATM's inline with local AML (Anti-Money Laundering) legislation I must provide a solution that we can roll out across our nationwide ATM's. I am looking into AXIS FA54 main unit with the AXIS FA1125 sensor, The Wisenet X Series 2MP pinhole camera and the March Networks C1801A 2.8mm ATM camera. Any recommendations on these in regards to ATM installations?

This will be incorporated into the Milestone Corporate VMS platform.

Johan, thanks for asking this. We don't have any recent tests of pinhole / covert cameras. However, it's actually a good idea to do a shootout. We'll buy the cameras this week but our results won't be ready until the end of next month. Thanks.

The Hanwha XNB-H6240A is an ATM kit with a bracket designed to be very adjustable and compatible with many leading ATMs.

The camera lens unit is on a removable cable that can be fed through the ATM.  There is an 8m and 1.5m length cable, and an extra connector is included in case you want to cut the end and re-terminate to your desired length.

Outside of the ATM kit, there are a variety of lenses available for the XNB-6001 depending on the desired FoV.  Hanwha also has loitering and face detection analytics builtin which may be usable in your VMS to trigger an event.

The camera can also have apps loaded, and there are specialized ones designed for detecting additional ATM loitering, skimming, etc.

Finally, the camera has great WDR, which is important since the camera is often outside or looking at a doorway, and it can compensate for the bright lighting/dark indoors.

This camera and its predecessor has been a workhorse for many national and regional banks.  If you have any further questions on these models, please let me know.

I concur the kit is the way to go, great performance and image quality.  The bracket makes is easy to install with no challenges, designed specifically for the ATM.

Mobotix S16. Provides one or two imagers up to 9 feet apart, audio, and is very discreet.

Axis has their new FA modular series which is really good and can have up to four different cameras connected to one base unit.

ATM machines. This ensures quick resolution with any genuine disputes regarding cash
withdrawals or purchase payments.

Unlike other ATM solutions DV-IP ATM Advance has built-in PowerScripting technology which would allow you quickly, simply and at low cost develop a tailored ATM solution for your client, unavailable from other providers

Like all NetVu products DV-IP ATM Advance is designed, developed, manufactured and supported in the UK, with support also in the USA.

Johan, I work for a bank in the US. We have been installing in our ATM's the Axis F41 with the F1005-E image sensor for a few years now. We love this camera and image sensor. Does a great job.

We are going to be transitioning to the Axis F44 camera. Reason for this is we will begin to install the transaction image cameras aas well.

So with this new deployment we will have the Axis F44 camera with the F1005-E for face images, and two(2) F1004 pinhole imagers for transaction images.

Hope this helps.

From an installer perspective, they are all good cameras but can vary on the installation end. Getting a bracket that will securely hold the ATM camera in a variety of models can be challenging. The Samsung SBU-100 bracket that used to be included in their covert kits was the best we have found and we even keep old stock of that bracket for mounting a variety of other brands. ATM's can be challenging to mount the camera conveniently, where it will get the proper picture, and be resistant to the vibration and shock of a heavy safe door getting slammed once a day, plus the inherent vibrations of the internal ATM components. Heat is also a major killer of these cameras. Plus some ATM's have different lens covers (fisheye vs flat, etc) so address that detail as well.

All of those are a great camera but the Axis and Hanhwa will likely be more widely compatible. For instance, you cannot get a March ATM camera to work with a Verint NVR. (At least not without tons of unneeded heartache). Also the Axis P-series has intermittent signal drops that are a known issue with Verint.

tl;dr - Verify that you can actually mount the cameras in a reasonable fashion and that your chosen camera is compatible with your NVR/VMS.

We made ATM surveillance system for fraud control and face recognition based on Nobelic covert cameras.

Also, there is Hikvision DS-2CD6424FWD series...
