ASIS Chapter Partners With Axis

While ASIS is ostensibly for security practitioners (i.e., end users, managers, directors), ASIS dependence on vendors is a key component (e.g., see ASIS Financials Investigated, ASIS Revenue Falls 50%, Hit By COVID, Hikvision USA Exhibiting At GSX 2022, ASIS Silent).
That noted, I found it odd that an ASIS chapter would announce that Axis has become a "sponsoring partner" and that it looks forward to "cooperating with Axis":
