Hi, Is ONVIF also about the alarm input/output of camera's? If so, what profile? I thought analytics will be in some future release so I would suggest I/O is easier to integrate?

Are Camera I/O Covered By Any ONVIF Profile?

Sep 03, 2015Device I/O is definitely part of ONVIF Profile S. Here is the current Device I/O ONVIF Service Specification.
That said, I have no idea if it works or who implements it, as Device I/O is not frequently used.
Let's see if anyone has any experience with it.

Sep 03, 2015Actually only relays are part of Profile S. Inputs, bizarrely, are not.
In our tests, relays on ONVIF cameras generally seem to be properly supported by the VMS. Inputs are hit or miss, and a lot of VMSes don't integrate them.
