Archiving Directly To Tape Drives?

Gautham, the company that seems to market this the most in surveillance is Soleratec - see our review of their offering. They claim integration with Exacq and Milestone/OnSSI though my understanding is that it is not a deep integration plus, of course, the tapes need to be physically retrieved and one needs to search archived video through the Soleratec interface rather than the VMS.
Thanks John. Yeah, I read your report on SoleraTec. Google returns Unitex TapeView Milestone integration. Any idea how good this works?

Very interesting. I've never heard of them so I can't comment either way. Sarit, can you ask Milestone about them?
