Customer is doing a new buildout and looking to do time lapse recording using some temporary IP cameras.  This would show the progress of the buildout and they would want to stitch it together for a video when it is finished.  It this possible using Exacq somehow?  I guess we would have to record in JPEG at a very slow rate and then export all the video to an AVI and stitch it together?

Are you stuck on Exacq for this task or can you use a different application?

You can use DW Spectrum to record the entire project then use rapid review to export to a time lapse video.

If your project is less than 30 days then you can use the 30 day free trial license.

You should be able to use just about any camera out there.  Some cameras you can record on a schedule, such as 1 image per hour, etc. to the SD card.

Other cameras can send the image to an FTP server.

You can also use cloud apps or an-camera apps.

An on-camera app is http://www.pernixia.com/Home/Products that works with Hanwha cameras.

A cloud app that works with any camera (they have free and paid accounts) is www.angelcam.com.

I have created a few construction time lapse videos for projects that I have helped with at my kid's school.

Once the project was done, I took the JPEG files and used free software to create a video file.  Then I used video editing software to edit it as needed, add cool audio, titles, fades, etc...

I recommend using an FTP server. You don't have to worry about size of SD card, it is easy to check the progress, and easy to make backup copies of the images.

I usually will take 1 picture per hour during working hours...

Here are 3 time lapse videos that I created.
