I have a customer that hit the 1024 camera limit on ivms-4200. Is there a 3rd party program that can support more cameras?
If not, would installing a OEM's version such as LTS overwrite the original database and if not would it let him have more then 1024 by having using two programs?

David, Hikvision recommends HikCentral (see this overview / note) and to contact your RSM to discuss further about it.
I can tell you from experience as I have engineered and installed Hik-Central in a local government environment. Its works well, easy to understand, excellent choice for a system that will be expanding and the customer likes it. It is completely different than iVMS-4200, not fair to compare the two.
That is all I have to say on this subject.
