Anyone Have Any Experience / Opinions About Luxul IT Equipment?

Went to a class.  The trainer was entertaining and informative.  Is the equipment worth the obvious difference in price from low-end consumer/small business prices?

Thanks,

My only Luxul experience is with the Domotz Box. Basically is a $40 banana Pi board under the hood, which cost us about $100. At 1st glance Domotz looked like a great product to get remote access to customer sites, only to learn the remote connection is very slow and caps @ 300 Mb with basic subscription, they do sell more bandwidth @ about $3 per Gb.

The SNMP Gui and alert system is pretty cool I must admit and savvy companies could sell this a another service, but do yourself a favor if your interested in Domotz, just get a Raspberi PI and download image from Domotz directly.

We do have a project coming where we will be using their XAP-1240 High Power Outdoor 300N Wireless WAP for an IP Camera. Hope to report back on that.

The Raspberi Pi doesn't have a gig nic card so you can't do high speed network tests. Also without the Domotz box you can't use the Violet app to block network devices.

For $100 the box is worth it.

We used to use the TP Links at remote buildings for 2-3 cameras, and a Luxul at the head end. Never had a problem but we moved to the Ubiquiti's due to the embedded 24V PoE (No more sloppy injectors) and the ping watch dog.

Thank you Jay.  Luxul has some POE of their own now.  Not a bad product.
