Anyone Has A Copy Of Veracity Timenet NTP Server Config.Exe File?
Hi guys,
A long shot here. If anyone here may have a copy or link of Veracity Timenet ntp server config.exe program?
I looked high and low on veracity site and it's no longer on their site.
Microsoft Word - TIMENET Manual v1.3.doc
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
Veracity will be able to help you out directly. This is a very old TIMENET model, but they are very reliable and have a very long useful lifetime.
If we can have your contact details and your country location, then I will arrange for someone in our Technical Support team to contact you and provide you with what you need.
Thank you.
Sorry got to ask here again. If anyone else do has a copy of the config.exe for the old timenet ntp server.
I emailed at least 3 times and got only silence from their support. I gave up. :(
Excuse me. Your staff never highlighted to me anything regarding my background check before he can pass me the config file. I furnished S/N and pics of the unit as requested. Please kindly do a check with him if he even bother replying after my 3rd mail?
Signed up here in IPVM as a personal hobby with no affiliation to my official duties. Yeah using my personal gmail with my pocket money.
With all due respect, you LinkedIn me the moment you responded to this thread here. Assumed you already background my profession. (I do in-house evaluation/certification of purchased hw and sw for proper implementation/recommendation for potential projects)
This unit was passed to me by one of my US acquaintance together with other hw stuff. It is a decommissioned piece for donkey years. They have moved on to better GPS setup.
I didn't know trying to recycle legacy stuff can ruffle ur sensitive nerve. My apology.
On 2nd thought. If anyone really wanna copy your software, don't even need to ask (and to get caught by the manufacturer???). Yeah you don't even need to register to download everything...
I'm sure this exchange is all very entertaining for readers of IPVM, but I'll keep this short and final.
My objection was that you were claiming that we never responded to you. Yet by your own admission now, we did, and quickly. We were hardly being sensitive, as you were publicly maligning our very high standards of technical support. I also asked you for your affiliation in my first response to you - see above.
How hard would it have been to explain the situation to us as you have done now, but through one of our email exchanges ? That's all we required. Please understand that no manufacturer will respond to unaffiliated email addresses without further information, so that they know who they are dealing with.
Despite all this, and our unfortunate, avoidable and rather public falling-out, I will ensure that you are sent the config.exe file that you are seeking. Our technical team will still support the product for you, despite its age, being out of warranty and even with you not being the original customer.
We are proud of our products, their quality, longevity and our long-term support for them. That is why we react to defend our reputation when it is unfairly disparaged. I hope you will understand.
Hmmm... the same info I put up in my last post was emailed to you here in IPVM mail function to you and also to your support director in his 2nd email when he asked for the details how I acquired a unit. Please ask him to forward you my email replies? Well I am glad to know that now u agree here this info is cleared now to send a copy of the file.
If all the correspondences unqualified a gmail/forum user to get a copy of the file. All that needed is a quick followup email and reject the support.
Anyway, I will refrain from further comments with this final post too as a respect to you and your team for the kind file support.
Thank you.
