I'm tasked with finding a way to add exterior surveillance to 100's of portable buildings at over 100 sites in a school environment while keeping costs to an acceptable level (Yes, I work for the school district). Based on my research and the layout, the likely best option is to mount the cameras directly to the buildings themselves which already have POE+ switches/ports available.
Almost all of the portables have 2 doors on either side of the front of the building, and that is the side we want to cover. The problem I have is that we have to assume camera placement is less than 6 inches higher than the height of the door frames and there will either be 2 lights on either side of the doors closer to the edges of the building or a single light directly in the middle; it is assumed that the cameras would be mounted slightly lower than the lights.
