What VMS / PSIM Integrates With SCADA Systems?

We are currently looking for a solution where a VMS or PSIM should be able to work with SCADA systems.

Just found IV&C, also AxxonSoft's Intellect might be able to do it by TCP/IP ascii strings or OPC. Just wondering if anyone has some experiences in it.

Customers request is to have Video combined with SCADA data coming from a test bench. Idea is that they can use critical data coming from SCADA ("high pressure, high temperature..") to trigger Camera to record for later inspection / reviewing.

Any input appreciated.

We have used Winguard from Advancis, for a PSIM+.

They have a large list of interfaces with many systems, they are listed on their website

Nidal, thanks.

Anyway, WinGuard (we are already partnered with Advancis) supports a lot of Security devices and systems, but not especially SCADA. Looks like PRYSM Software is doing that, I will contact them as well.

Harald, Prysm-software, is the same as> www.prysm-software.com
Have you ever used any product Prysm and the functionality and integration of the same was satisfactory.

We do this for our clients in the manufacturing industry all the time. Cameras cover different sections of the operations and inputs from different sensors through SCADA triggeres camera recordings and PTZ presets. We call this video diagnostics systems. We have implemented this concept using different VMSs like Milestone, Genetec, Axxonsoft, Amites via a varity of protocols like OPC, BACNet, TCP/IP Generic text messages, SNMP and most recently modbus TCP as well. Drop me a line if you need any pointers.

Hi Harald. Intergraph has a PSIM solution that integrates with SCADA systems as well as VMSs and other typical/non-typical PSIM interfaces. We have our own internal middleware engine that can easily translate between OPC and our XML message format. The camera relationship is provided through our SDK and rules&policies engine.

Most SCADA or similar systems uses a OPC or Back Net interface, and the databases MS-SQL, IndigoVision Control Center integrates with any of the 3 above and alarms, events can be send seamlessly to the VMS from the SCADA system to Bookmark event, Trigger Alarms, or just store a DataStream from the SCADA in the Control Center Database for post event searchable data.

Alternatively an IndigoVision Binding SDK is freely available where you can write your own integration with the SCADA.

Contact your regional sales rep to discuss your requirements – most likely you will find that they already done integration work with your SCADA brands.
