Are there any alternative methods for installing loops for a vehicle gate? This project has steel cable in the concrete and the client is afraid of damaging the cable. Our sub, says they do it all the time, they just go a certain depth.
Is there any alternative such as large mats the loop can be placed in?
There are surface mounted inductive loops such as those made by National Loop Company
These do create a bit of a trip and fall hazard, but this is generally not a problem in commercial/industrial applications. However, I would avoid using them in areas with lots of pedestrian traffic.
