Alarm Industry Impacted By Covid-19 Shelter-In-Place

It is easy to mis-interrupt the opportunities for some segments of the private security industry during Covid-19 “shelter-in-place”. Local law enforcement has already notified the private remote-monitoring firms, like ADT, Vivint, LydiaCOPS, RP/Rapid Response, SimpliSafe, etc. of slow or no police response to the site of their private deterrent alarm customers (over 15 million is residential & commercial in US) due to near 100% error/false alarms. As we know shelter-in-place impacts both residential and commercial properties. Unfortunately, most alarm suppliers do not notify their customers of this major reduction of “security”.… expect much higher rates of cancellation and litigation. However, major opportunities exist short term and long term for other segments of the private security industry.
