I have customers who currently have 960H cameras on a basic DVR who want to start migrating to HD IP cameras, while still using the analog cameras until they can afford to replace them. Can anyone recommend an 8 analog + 8 IP DVR that I can use for this application? I'd like the price point to be ~$500.
Affordable Hybrid DVR
Ben, I would look at the product tests for HD-CVI and HD-TVI as a solution if the customer is asking for HD. If he is specifically looking for a hybrid 960/IP there are options there too. This is a good time for these customers.
Ben- depending on your price range, Hikvision TurboHD Tribrid supports 960H/HD-TVI and IP cameras supported upto 1080p reoslution. The 7316HQHI supprots 16 analog + 2 IP and now allows you to disable analog inputs and add IP camera so it would support up to 18 IP cameras with all analog inputs disabled. The 9008HWI is 960H and supports 8 analog and 8 IP and can become a 16 Channel NVR by disabling inputs. IP cameras up to 6MP are supported.
