I have a customer who is looking to have his new access, video and alarm systems all mapped out so if there is an event it will notify the guard on duty of the event and location in the building. Along with the notification triggering the cameras to go to record in that area and live view brought up.

I’m looking for recommendations on how to do this as clean as possible. Does anybody have any ideas?

Hello Matt:

Welcome, great first question.

Are any systems existing?  Or are these 100% new?

Putting in 100% new. With this customer its always about the solution and meeting their needs over any 1 particular manufacturer.

Note: I am a rep for Bosch.

Milestone has intrusion and access plugins as well as mapping. If you want a best-of-breed solution, that might be the way to go. Confirm that protect works well with your preferred vendors. Generally speaking, though, Milestone has very deep integration across the board, so you're likely to find lots of options.

If you want an end-to-end solution, Bosch might be a good solution. Bosch B and G series alarm panels integrate well with Bosch BVMS. If you have a fewer than 32 doors onsite, the G series can handle the access control as well.

I have been looking at Bosch as a solution until I just found out BIS is not available in the US. The access system is 128 Doors.

I'm not ruling any company out but I believe I would be doing my customer a great dis-service to trying to do the access with G Panels. With the size of this project a dedicated access control system is the only way to go.

Could  do it with S2 and their Magic Monitor software (I do not work for S2, but I'm a heavy end user of it)

(The video, access, and mapping are unified. They integrate with several different alarm companies - Bosch included.)
