The $1,500 'World's First Smart [Biometric] Gun,' Gimmick Or Game-Changer?

Colorado-based Biofire plans to release "the world's first smart gun" in 2024.

The 9mm 'smart gun' features biometric sensors, and the company points customers to this video as an example of how the sensors work, although the video is short and doesn't really provide a good, objective example/comparison to a "conventional" handgun:
