Am I Losing My Mind? Burglar Alarm Question - Detecting Motion Up To 300 Feet In Length

Let me start by saying that my level of knowledge in the burglar alarm space is very limited....

We have a client with a 1.2M sq/ft warehouse that's looking to secure 60 overhead garage doors with motion sensors. So if a human body were to walk through any of those doors after hours, they would like to have an alert sent to the Central Monitoring Station. They have an in-house solution (I'm not sure what) for their video.. So with that said, they've been informed that one of our competitiors, ADS Security, can detect motion up to 300 feet in length... Today we use Vista for burglar alarm systems, and our motion sensors best reach comes out to be 53' x 72', which is obviously nowhere close to 300'.
