What is typically needed (in Texas) to install readers, door sensors, and strikes to an existing commercial building? i.e. building permit, inspection, is conduit required through the wall to the ceiling space, etc
We are a licensed Security Contractor in Texas, do we need to secure a licensed electrical subcontractor or GC?

thanks in advance

No. Fire alarms are a different story, but for access; no.

Using maglocks typically requires fire marshal approval for alarm loop interrupts, but otherwise nothing else is needed.
