Is U Lockit Security Safe?

A new security startup has introduced a product to help prevent school shootings by allowing teachers to lock classroom doors using a u shaped rod that locks the door to the adjacent wall.
It kind of reminds me of the <a href="https://ipvm.com/forums/video-surveillance/topics/this-2-product-at-isc-west-2014" target="_blank">bulletproof bookcase</a> and this <a href="https://ipvm.com/reports/illegal-classrom-locks" target="_blank">report on classroom locks</a> by Brian Rhodes.
