what does F-stop f/2.8 means ??does it mean the focal length/the aperture opening.
so if my focal length is 2.8 mm , then for the above F-stop will my IRIS opening be 2.8/2.8=1 ??

Jun 06, 2016F-Stop is not the same as focal length.
F-Stop is a ratio between focal length and iris aperture opening.
A larger F-Stop may indicate a longer focal length or a narrower aperture opening.
