***Axis *****-*** is a favorite to use on corners and sides of buildings. With one camera, we can easily cover 180/270 degrees around the building to provide an overview of the area. Integrated IR up to 15m also helps along the sidewalks in low light environments.

***Axis *****-* is used as a overview on our buildings. Usually used in conjunction with other cameras around the building. This one is versatile for the operator to use when they are tracking a subject that may be out of view from the fixed cameras. Also, we tie these in with other cameras utilizing cross line detection and loitering events.

Bosch ******** ***-****-*****. Selected Bosch since our contract used to utilize Bosch but since has switched to Pelco. This would be great for inside an aircraft hangar mounted on the roof as to see 360 degrees and can view large areas. The lights are always kept on when an aircraft is inside so no need for IR.

Pelco ********-***. We have a lot of buildings backing up to wide open spaces. Currently we have PTZ cameras in those areas however it’s hard to control every PTZ but much easier to monitor more than one camera. Utilizing a multi-imager in these spaces would allow for easy monitoring of the entire areas at once rather than trying to control each camera consistently.

Pelco *****-***. PTZs are great especially when trying to identify approaching vehicles and personnel. Allows a user to zoom in and track. If I had the budget I would mount a multi-imager along with a PTZ. Easy to monitor multiple cameras then zoom in and track with the PTZ.

Hanwha ***-*****: The best use-cases for this camera are ones that require maximum coverage for spacial awareness, but where detail is not imperative. This would work well in a multistorey car park where you need to make sure certain areas are protected. Another good use-case would be to deploy one of these in the ceiling in the middle of the shop, which would allow you to monitor the movements of customers (to understand which parts of the shop people tend to be more drawn to), so great for market research.

AXIS *****-***: This camera has the highest possible impact protection rating for vandal proofing and would give you a view of 4 different areas in good image quality. I, therefore, think it would work well on the corner of a building or in a busy shopping centre where you would need to monitor 4 different areas or entrances at once. The 15m IR range means I wouldn't mount this too high to get the best IR image quality.

Hikvision **-*********-***: The fact that this is a 4K PTZ that can pan, tilt and zoom really quickly and smoothly is what drew me to it. It has good low-light performance, but no IR. So, I think this would work well in an area with lots of nightlife, which is reasonably well lit at this time and has the potential for crime. The operator would be able to quickly and smoothly pan/tilt/zoom between targets with a smaller risk of missing things during the camera movement time, and the auto-tracking function would also help. The 75~270mm focal length also means that this could give an extremely sharp image of it from great distances, so this would do well when mounted high on a building to cover a large. I also like the fact you have multiple alarm inputs which allow you to connect multiple devices that can trigger the camera into action.

***Axis *****-*** is a great camera for a 180* view. This could be used on the side of a building to capture the whole side of the building or it could be utilized in a mount that places two of these units back to back for 360* coverage. Images are much more clear than a fisheye lens that captures 360*.

***Axis *****-** PTZ camera is idea for low light and the need to focus in with the 32x optical zoom. This camera requires an operator and is utilized to zoom in where the fixed imagers are unable to. Without the use of an operator PTZ cameras are low value compared to fixed or multi-imagers.

***Axis *****-*** is used on building corners to capture entries and 180 or 270 degree areas. The IR helps with low light conditions at night.

***Axis *****-** is used for longer distance surveillance to view perimeter areas or when tracking a suspect at the fence line. It is more expensive than a standard PTZ due to the IR and high frame rate (60fps).

* ***** ** ******** ****** * cameras *** ******* **** ** *** criteria. (******** **** **** **, *** here ****)

AXIS *****-*Interior fisheye camera - Ideal application would be an interior storage room or multi cube space. Can mount in center of room to see a 360 degree view. Will come up short seeing the perimeter clearly if room is too large but will be able to tell if things are happening. Better choice than other 2 cameras as it provides a full 360 degree view all the time.

Panasonic **-******This type of camera is good for corners of buildings giving the ability to see each side of the building. Better choice over the other 2 as the fisheye has poor quality at those longer distances and the PTZ I found appears to be more suited for low light.

Avigilon *.**-*******-****-**This camera appears to be very suited for very low light and distances. It has a 720p Max Res which typically works well with low light. It also has a long IR range of 250m couple with a long focal length and it should perform well in a low light warehouse our a poorly lit parking lot. Neither of the other 2 cameras would perform well in those scenarios.
