I have a customer that is complaining we sent two techs to a time and materials job. To me, after years of experience, it is simple to understand that 4 hands complete a job faster than two, but the customer is complaining about paying for two techs. I know I can send one and charge them 4 times as much, but I would rather logically explain why two people can get things completed faster than one person and in the end, saves them money. Yes, I am charging for both techs individually. 1 person might complete the entire job in 80 hours and that would cost them 8000 dollars. Two people can complete the job in 20 hours and that costs them 4000 dollars. Cumulative labor is not linear, it tends to be exponential. Any ideas would be appreciated.
