What application did you use to record the tablet and phone together? Or did you actually place them side by side and point a camera at it.

Hi Robert,

There's actually an app for that :) It's called Reflector and it costs ~$13; it's a good one and only one of its kind that that I know of, I've used it for a few years now.

Disclosure: I'm the founder of BrightSentry, Inc.

For a different approach to mobile video management, check out BrightSentry's apps for Axis Camera Companion. We built an intuitive search timeline that can be manipulated with touch. Video clips can be quickly selected and imported to the device's Photos library. From there the clip can be shared via e-mail or SMS. Our iPad app supports fully customizable layouts that can be easily configured with gestures.

We believe that many users of small camera count systems would prefer tablet and mobile devices as their primary user interface. We're attempting to take full advantage of platform capabilities to build a highly usable system.

Ryan,

I am curious. As a third party developer in a market space where VMS suppliers typically give away mobile apps, how do you compete against that? How much success have you been having with that?

Hi John,

We've had a good response to our Axis apps, but then again Axis doesn't make their own apps. To be honest, we are still somewhat in stealth mode and have a different business model in mind. I'd be happy to discuss it with you offline.

Best,

Ryan
