Has There Ever Been A Classification Of VMS Into Tiers?

Has there ever been a classification of VMS into tiers like Entry Level, Mid Range, High end? I know it comes up in articles but cannot find a definitive classification. I assume it would change over time too.

This is my internal classification but would like to see how it lines up with others. I'm not saying these are good fits for their tier but rather where they position themselves and based on features advertised.
