We have an existing large client that we have done extensive amounts Network cabling at one of their facilities. One of their people from another department has asked us to install a brand new Pelco based system, approximately 43 cameras. Cameras and NVR will be supplied by client. We typically do not have any problem using client supplied materials such as this as long as it is clear what we are or are not responsible for. In this case they are saying that our original quote is approved, but they want a few changes. One of these is that we will "provide software training and support". We have no recent experience with Pelco, so I am hoping to get some feedback from anyone familiar with how things roll in the Pelco world. I am confident that we can adequately get the system up and running and show the end users how to operate things, but I have no idea what if any support, training, or assistance we can expect from Pelco since we are not purchasing any of their products?
There is a significant amount of labor and materials involved in the installation itself, so we really don't want to pass it up. We just need to be careful of what we are agreeing to be responsible for.
