Have You Ever Powered IP Cameras Using AC Or DC Voltage Instead Of Poe?

I'm genuinely curious to hear if any of our members have used or seen an IP camera that was powered by something other than PoE or PoE Injection. I cannot wrap my head around why someone would need to use something other than PoE for IP cameras, as now you have to run additional cables and worry about a power supply that could crap out. For the record, there has not been an IP camera that I have personally installed or seen that used AC or DC power, always used PoE.

For those that may have had to do so, please let me know! I'd like to understand the reasoning why. Thanks!
