Just wanted to pick your guys brains for a minute. I inherited the role of security Camera Admin at the school district I work at when I took a promotion. I was fairly familiar with the ends and outs of the systems and cameras before I took the job just tried to stay out of it cause it would just be one more thing on my plate. As I now don't have a choice I am trying to improve on an aging systems with limited storage and old server hardware. I recently spoke with a sales rep who mentioned it now doesn't cost to transition licenses in Exacq. Has that been the experience recently for anyone? Also would I need pay to update to current before transfering? We currently Have 14 sites that have 326 cameras between them. If it was you how would you condense this? Right now each site has its own server. all the sites are connected with 10g fibers so connection back to a central server would be no problem. Is that too many for one server? I have no problems building servers I just don't know what best practices are as far as camera servers go and I've asked a few people and got wildly varying answers.
Thanks in advance
