10 buildings with cameras need network hooked up to them. Building 1 would be the backbone with ISP, whats the most cost effective way of doing this and will daisy-chaining a wired connection be reliable with cat6 vs a star configuration? Daisy chaining wireless is not a good idea and will have a lot of problems if it works at all. A star configuration isn't possible. 40 cameras in total. each building has it's own nvr for main recording and backup recordings will go to building 1. There are a lot of tall trees in between all buildings making it hard for a Star setup of wireless radios.
