Video Cloud Storage Services

Hi everyone,

I've never had to use cloud storage for a surveillance system before (usually been able to talk someone out of it, or offer a good local RAID setup instead). But I have a client here who is insistent, and I wanted to see what platforms you people use and what success/failures you've had with them. All the ones I've looked at so far seem to be very expensive and require their own hardware, whereas I was hoping to just integrate it will an existing Hikvision or Avigilon system. That being said, if I'm using an Avigilon server, I could just install Backblaze and have it back up my hard drive for $5/month...am I missing something? Compared to $570/year for Synology or other comparable brands, I feel like I'm overlooking something important.
