Startup iryx Launches, Led by Ex-Arecont and FLIR Executives

This could be a game changer for the remote video (intruder detection) and monitoring solution providers.  I assume they are using LiDAR sensor data and analytics at the edge.  Any other camera manufacturers (in the security industry) currently doing that? 

Who is funding this start-up?

Multispectral and polarimetric vision is widely used for aerial photography. E.g. send a drone out to spot patches of sick crop or calculate amount of dry matter. Making it work for security is a different matter. Given the b/g of the founders I envisage a pricey high end device that is hard to scale for the mass market.

Thanks for the write up. As a slight update to what was written above, I am now wholly focused now with iryx.

Cognize remains a very close partner, and I am very excited about their future. They have built up a solution that I'm very proud to have been involved with, and I can't wait to celebrate their successes.

I am still a technical advisor, but I have resigned my duties as their CTO in order to focus solely on growing iryx.
