Report updated with details from ISC West 2019:

ISC West 2019 Update - Sample Interface, Appliances, Pricing

At ISC West 2019 (IPVM Full Report) Qumulex showed off sample gateway appliances and wire-frame/sample client software. They said they have 14 employees, all in R&D, and they are planning to ship products on October 1st. They are currently building their integrator database, but have not officially signed up any integrator partners. They will be selling per camera subscriptions, approximately $30 MSRP per camera per month.

A gateway is required for connecting cameras to the Qumulex cloud service, but atypical for cloud-based VMSes, they said by default live video is streamed to local clients direct from the gateway. They will offer cloud-based storage and local storage on the gateway. They will be selling gateway appliances and supporting COTS servers. They said they will offer direct driver support for 2-3 major camera manufacturers, and ONVIF for any others. They said they will not be developing video analytics, and will instead support 3rd party, cloud-based analytics.

I am looking forward to seeing this hit the market and can't wait to play with the beta when its ready.  These guys have a proven track record and are no doubt gonig to carry some of that experince over to Qumulex, I am sure there are good things to come from Fishers again in' the future.
