I have not heard this 'pro' of using crimp on pass-thru connectors until today: pass-thru connectors are great if you have bad eyes.
Here's a pass-thru connector, where the conductors 'pass through' the end before being trimmed off when crimped:
Several made/agreed with the point these are great for bad eyesight on this Facebook page:
Pass-thru connectors make confirming wire colors and seating in the connector head easier, because the wire ends stick out and are easier to see.
I have hear plenty of criticism around pass-thrus being prone to sloppy installation problems like jack shorting and not fitting due to badly trimmed ends, but I've not heard the 'pro' they are good for aging eyesight. I've heard plenty of people swear-off using them as a trunkslammer product, and using 3 piece connectors or non pass-thru instead.
What do you think? Are pass-thrus the best for aging eyes?
