Mar 22, 2018I've had customers themselves who have used fingerprint readers in the past report them as unreliable. I think it's almost similar as video analytics- high initial expectations but the reality was underwhelming. Plus their high cost limits them to niche or minority use at a site where it's mostly still RFID for the majority of portals.

Mar 22, 2018Agree. The difference is that with video analytics the reality is catching up to the hype ... we can argue about the speed this is happening but the technology is moving. The best fingerprints will ever be are super long static passwords that are left everywhere we go.
