hik nvr 4.0 report -- nearly done, just have to redo a gif tomorrow AM (too low quality to see what i'm showing) and wrap up
we got a new capture device in which caused some problems. multiple PC installs later and it finally started outputting video, but not too impressed with quality. going to return it. just got an HDMI encoder for $150 which says it does RTSP streaming, which should simplify things for us capturing local interfaces, which is a problem we've had for years.
will look at a survey post tomorrow after wrapping things up on hik

Worked on hik NVR 4.0, had to troubleshoot capture device but eventually got samples of features.
