Assistance With Axis Encoder And PTZ Control On Hikvision Analogue PTZ

hi all,

I am unable to resolve this even with the help of h/w manufacturers and wonder if anyone has faced this issue before. We have a Hikvision PTZ (DS-2AE4123TI-D) and Axis M7014/6 encoders. We obtain video, but no PTZ control on RS485 is possible despite the Pelco D driver supported on both devices. Axis say we need to enable "RS485 Checksum Parameter setting" on the camera, but this setting is not available via the DVR. Thanks.

Can you set it directly on the camera then?

Does the DVR have its own RS-485 ports?  Could you use those to control it?
