QVC Home Shopping Comes To Security Cameras (Blink)

Did not know these things still existed but they are pumping Blink security cameras (see our test). See their video pitch below:

It is interesting to hear how they present it to a mass market audience. 

The deal, though, is misleading at best, as they claim it is half off but really that is because they throw in a handful of other items that are of dubious value.

They do claim to have sold 14,000 units so far during the day.

What do you think of their pitch?

In that QVC clip, both of the hosts are quite adamant at the end of the piece that 'fresh' AA lithium batteries will last for 2 years (How YOU doin'?....two YEARS!)

They don't even use the clarifier 'up to'....  :(

They MUST mean they can be recharged for 2 years based on some average number of recharge cycles?

Maybe so - but this is not what they stated.

I think - based on the way the hosts presented it - that most QVC customers would assume that the two AA batteries would last them two years without having to be recharged.
